Licenses

In order to unlock its functionality, the Device Monitoring Studio uses the license files. Initially, when the product is installed for the first time, the Trial license is automatically installed. It unlocks all functionality provided by the Device Monitoring Studio, but only for a limited time. When the trial license expires, you must either purchase one of the Device Monitoring Studio licenses, or uninstall the product from your computer.

In exceptional cases HHD Software may decide to extend the trial period by issuing an extended trial license. If you need to extend the trial period, please contact us.

Licensing Policy

The Device Monitoring Studio licensing policy is very flexible. It allows you to configure the product in the way that best suits your needs. We also offer discounted time limited licenses for those who need the monitoring product for a limited time.

Obtaining a License File

The license file is generated and sent to you by e-mail when your order is processed. To place an order, visit our web site, put the product into the shopping cart, select the license type and proceed with the order. When your order is finished and processed, you will be sent a license file.

License file has ".dmslic" file extension.

Installing a License File

There are two ways to install a license file:

1. Double-click the license file in the Windows® Explorer window or directly in the e-mail. If asked for a confirmation, click Open or Run. The license file will automatically be installed.
2. Launch the Device Monitoring Studio, select the Help|License Management command, and click the Install button. Select the license file and click Open. The license file will automatically be installed.

It is recommended to restart the Device Monitoring Studio after installing the license file.
